TORRES KEEN FOR MORE DERBY GLORY
In-form Fernando Torres is hoping for a repeat of his heroics at Goodison earlier in the season when Liverpool take on Everton for a place in the fifth round of the FA Cup tonight.
After two late goals saw off the challenge of Chelsea at the weekend, Torres is closing in on his best form once again after recovering from a hamstring injury.
It was Torres' deadly double which claimed three league points at Everton back in September and tonight he'll be looking to maintain his record of never having been on the losing side against our city rivals.
"It was a fantastic day for me that last time I played in a derby at Goodison Park," he recalled. "I was lucky enough to score two goals and we won the game so it was a good moment for us.
"It is true that Liverpool have not been beaten by Everton since I came here but that does not mean anything in this game.
"It would be fantastic if we could keep that run going because it would mean that we are in the next round but we know we will have to work really hard for this to happen.
"We want to keep advancing in the cup, this is another target for us.
"Beating Everton away will be very difficult but we will do our very best because we know that it will be fantastic for our fans if we can beat Everton at Goodison.
"Unfortunately, we could not beat Everton on the last two occasions that we played them at home.
"We know that they will be even more dangerous on their own ground in front of their own fans but we also know that we have another chance to win."
